Robert Bland Ltd
Est. 1873
Robert Bland was established in Bradford West Yorkshire in
1873, selling watch materials and parts to watchmakers within the local area.
This level of trade continued until the end of the Second World
War. At this time we w ere
trading from a single room above the Yorkshire Penny Bank at the bottom of Manchester
Road, when the present owner took over and eventually purchased the company,
later expanding in to the entire first floor, incorporating head offices workshops
and warehousing for the sales and distribution of the ever expanding range of
Clocks, Watches and Barometers.
In 1966 we outgrew the premises and moved to No.2 Grattan Road,
remaining loyal to Bradford and our growing customer base. Between 1966 and
1977 The Company expanded considerably forcing us to look yet again for new
larger premises. The decision was made to remain in Bradford because of it central
location to the rest of the UK, the now expanding motorway network making it
easy for our team of sales representatives to travel the country.
Today the company has grown to become one of the largest Importers,
Distributors and Manufacturers in the UK, boasting Trade showroom and Offices
on Thornton Road with a large distribution network throughout the UK.
